Societies
------------
Societies provide a means for alumni to connect to an academic unit such as the College of Agricultural Sciences, the Graduate School, and Penn State Altoona. There is a society in place for every college and most of the Penn State locations. The activities and programming of the alumni societies vary but often include mentoring programs between current students and alumni, networking events for alumni and students, and student recruitment activities. Society members may also act as informal advisory boards to the chief administrative officer of the respective colleges and campuses.
