Awards and Recognition Program: Group Awards

Penn State Chapter Awards
Presented to chapters that have distinguished themselves through exceptional program offerings. Categories are: (1) student support and interaction, (2) community service, (3) personal and professional enrichment, and (4) membership. The award consists of a specially designed patch that can be affixed to the chapter’s banner with pins denoting the year the award was presented. Beginning in 1998, each winning chapter will receive a program grant of $500 to be used in future programming.


Penn State Alumni Society Awards
Presented to alumni college societies that have distinguished themselves through exceptional alumni program offerings. Awards are given for two categories: (1) programs that are new and creative, and (2) programs that have a proven record of success and can be viewed as an outstanding accomplishment of the society. A program grant of $500 will be given to the winning society to be used for society programs.


Penn State Affiliate Program Group Achievement Awards
This award is given to a special interest group affiliated with a department and/or college that has distinguished itself through exceptional program offerings. A program grant of $500 will be given to the winning APG to be used in future programming.


Penn State Alumni Interest Group Achievement Awards
Presented to an AIG that has distinguished itself through exceptional program offerings. A program grant of $500 will be given to the winning AIG to be used in future programming.


P.R.I.D.E. Achievement Awards
The award is presented to those groups that have distinguished themselves through exceptional program offerings. The award recognizes the collaborative efforts of affiliate groups that most effectively support the mission of the Penn State Alumni Association. A program grant of $1,000 will be given to the winning group to be used in future collaborative programming efforts.


Outstanding National Service Week Project Awards
The award recognizes an exemplary National Service Week project and encourages innovative ideas in existing programs as well as new projects. A program grant of $500 will be given to the winning group to be used in future programming.


Web Site
This award is given to any affiliate group that has distinguished itself through an exceptional Web presence. A program grant of $500 will be given to the winning groups to be used in future programming.
